The Good Doctor Hypnotizes

Hypo-oh-no-tist

A mango, drifting, caught mid-fall,
Trembles in the ocean’s palm.
The crowd leans close, no breath at all,
As silent tides obscure the calm.
---It can’t resist, can’t fight or flee,
The octopus whispers, “Trust the sea.”
With limbs like silk, the waters bend,
The fruit surrenders to the end.
---"Why does it fall? Why does it sink?"
The onlookers watch, afraid to blink.
"What magic holds this mango still,
When waves should carry it at will?"
---Down, down, down we go,
Tumbling deep like a mango.
Down, down, down we go,
Where only currents know.
---Tentacles trace forgotten dreams,
Where colors blur and light redeems.
A pinwheel spins to slow the time,
A lullaby without a rhyme.
---The mango drifts on soft command,
Like sailors bound for distant land.
In watery realms, the fight is gone,
The fruit moves to an ancient song.
---Eyes pressed to glass, they watch it glide,
Fingers trembling, wonder wide.
The ocean speaks in tongues so low,
But none can hear the secrets flow.
---Was this a spell, or fated dance?
A mystic tide, or dreamer’s trance?
Both octopus and mango know,
There are places only silence goes.
---Down, down, down we go,
Spinning slow like a mango.
Down, down, down we go,
To where the shadows grow.
---Let me know how it feels in this format, and if there are any sections you'd like to explore or tweak!
